**I am Lucky Spencer**
He opened his eyes and found that he was surrounded
by people. Mom, Dad, Emily,
Elizabeth, Stefan, Helena, Scott, Alexis, Nikolas, Bobbie, Mac...
And someone he didn't know. His eyes
stopped on that face, and he blinked in
confusion.
Large, clear blue eyes. Close-cropped,
honey-blond hair. Angular bone structure, full
lips, a tall, lithe body clad in jeans and a checkered flannel shirt.
He looked like a cross
between--
**I am Lucky Spencer**
Some internal imperative--good manners, he
thought wryly--made him smile and
extend his hand. "Hey, I don't think we've met. I'm Lucky
Spencer. And you are...?"
The other man's left eyebrow quirked slightly
upwards, and his eyes darted for a
moment away, looking across the room to where Luke was standing.
A sardonically
amused expression flitted over his pale face, and a smile quirked his
lips for a moment
before he returned his gaze to the shorter, stockier man who had addressed
him. An odd
humour flashed in his eyes as he took the proferred hand and shook
it firmly. "Lucky
Spencer."
**I am Lucky Spencer**
"Yes, that's right. Lucas Lorenzo Spencer
the Third, actually, but...well, everybody
calls me Lucky." He chuckled slightly, and turned to catch Elizabeth's
eye so she could
share in the joke--but Elizabeth was staring fixedly at the other man,
her cheeks flushed,
with a wierd light in her eyes...
"No, man--that's my name. *I'm* Lucas
Lorenzo Spencer the Third. *I'm* Lucky
Spencer."
The man's voice made him turn back around,
ready to argue the point. Obviously this
person, whoever he was, was mistaken, or joking...
**_I_ am Lucky Spencer**
...But the only thing he saw in the man's face
was honesty. And maybe a little
boredom.
"You...?"

When the smoke had cleared, Lucky pulled himself
up from where he'd been
sheltering Elizabeth and glanced at the wreckage behind them.
"Wow," he said, the sound of his voice just
barely audible above the ringing in his
ears. "It blew its head right off."
